GW Catholics celebrate three Sunday Masses each week specifically for GW students which require Liturgical Ministers. We celebrate 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. Mass each Sunday at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church on Pennsylvania Avenue. Students play an important role in all parts of the Mass, and we will provide training for any student interested in getting involved. Once trained, you will be placed on our weekly ministry schedule. Roles which you can perform include:
Lector: Proclaiming the readings, psalms, and prayers of the faithful,
Altar Server: assisting the celebrant in the Sanctuary and,
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: distributing the Eucharist and Precious Blood to the congregation in concert with the celebrant.
Getting involved in the student liturgies is a great way to become a part of the GW Catholics family and to get more out of Sunday Mass. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to ask questions!
If you are interested in any of these roles please contact Peter Starkey – email@example.com
If you are interested in getting involved with music please check out the Music Ministry Page.
